Choose online mode for multilingual transcription
The language count describes the scope of the online speech-to-text pipeline. It does not mean that the same languages run offline, that every accent has identical recognition quality, or that every feature is available in every language.
Before planning a language-specific workflow, check that language in the offered build and try a representative passage. Include the names, terms and speaking conditions that matter to your work. A language count is useful for understanding coverage, but it is not a measured accuracy result for your particular task.
Transcription and translation answer different needs
Transcription captures speech as text. Translation changes content from one language into another. Supporting many input languages does not, by itself, establish that a product will translate between them.
SpeakLingo’s Task Mode translation is planned and is not advertised here as an available feature. If your task requires a translated output, confirm released translation support separately. Do not choose a multilingual transcription mode on the assumption that it guarantees a translation workflow.
Review multilingual writing before you share it
Start with a short passage in the language you want to use. Review the text for meaning, names, numbers and punctuation before adding it to a message or document. For important material, use a reviewer who understands the language and the subject.
Mixed-language speech, abbreviations and domain-specific words need particular care. This page makes no promise of automatic language switching, perfect recognition or identical support across all combinations. Evaluate the actual offered workflow rather than extending the 99+ figure to unrelated capabilities.
Online processing and availability
Online transcription sends captured audio to a remote transcription service and requires that service to be available. Consider this processing choice alongside your organization’s data-handling rules. Online AI workflows can receive submitted content, and opted-in screen context can include a screenshot; a local Windows application does not imply that all of its processing stays on the device.
For English transcription that uses local processing, compare the offline feature page. For availability, SpeakLingo currently directs visitors to the waitlist. Verify the supported language, build, enabled features and plan before depending on a workflow; this page does not establish public download availability or a numeric price.
Common questions
- Do the 99+ languages work offline?
- No. The 99+ language scope belongs to SpeakLingo’s online transcription pipeline. Offline transcription supports English.
- Does multilingual transcription translate my text?
- Language coverage and translation are separate. Task Mode translation is planned; this page does not present it as available.
- Is recognition equally accurate in every language?
- No equal-accuracy claim is made. Check the language in the offered build and evaluate a representative passage with the vocabulary and conditions you need.
